Hurricane Tracker 2024 Beryl Smith. Hurricane beryl, the first hurricane of the 2024 atlantic hurricane season, rapidly strengthened to a category 5 storm unusually early in the year. Hurricane conditions (sustained winds of 74 mph or greater) are expected somewhere within the specified area.
